ARTISTIC PRACTICES IN SPACES OF CONFINEMENT
ARTISTIC PRACTICES IN SPACES OF CONFINEMENT

ABOUT CONFINARTE

The rise in crime has driven punitive responses that reinforce stigma, increase fear, and fragment the social fabric. More prisons are built, sentences grow longer, and dehumanization deepens.

In response, creativity and art can open other paths. Through artistic production, different narratives emerge about people deprived of liberty, offering other ways of understanding prison.

Confinarte brings together projects born within the walls so they can leave, circulate, and be encountered by people in freedom.
